Islamabad, Jan 30: The Punjab government has officially launched the CM Punjab Laptop Scheme 2025 to empower bright and deserving students with the latest technology. Under this initiative, 50,000 high-performance laptops will be distributed to students across the province, ensuring they have the tools to excel academically and professionally.
Who Will Receive Laptops?
The program targets students excelling in their studies, including those in matriculation, intermediate, universities, and technical institutions. Additionally, 2,000 laptops have been allocated for minority students, ensuring inclusivity and equal learning opportunities.

- 20,000 laptops for university students
- 14,000 laptops for college students
- 4,000 laptops for technical and agricultural institutions
- 2,000 laptops for medical and dental students
- 32% of total laptops reserved for students from South Punjab
Eligibility and Registration Process
Unlike previous years, the CM Punjab Laptop Scheme 2025 does not require students to apply online. Instead, educational institutions will compile data of eligible students and forward it to the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Punjab. The commission will then verify and release the final list of selected students.
When Will Laptops Be Distributed?
Although, Reports indicate that registration will commence in February 2025, while the laptop distribution is expected to begin after Ramadan 2025, likely in April or May.
