Islamabad, July 7, 2025:Â Federal government personnel in Grade 17 and above are now required to file their asset declarations and their family members digitally. This step was taken to meet another crucial condition of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) by ensuring the public disclosure of officials’ assets.
The president has granted approval to the Civil Servants (Amendment) Act 2025, which has been announced via an official gazette notification. The Establishment Division has shared this notification with all federal ministries and departments.
A new Section 15-A has been added to the Civil Servants Act of 1973, stating that the asset records of government employees will be accessible to the public through the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
Officials must report both local and overseas assets along with their complete financial status, although their private details will stay protected.
