Islamabad High Court orders PTI leader Asad Umar to delete his two tweets: IHC orders his release
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court today ordered PTI leader Asad Umar to delete his two tweets immediately. The court also directed Asad Umar to submit a declaration for his release.
The IHC Judge declared arrest of Asad Umar illegal under the MPO on Wednesday.
The IHC Judge Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb also asked Asad Umar to delete his tweets with the warning that violation of the declaration will put at stake his political career.
PTI leader and Lawyer Senator Babar Awan appeared in court on behalf of Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Asad Umar.
“They will not spare you until you hold a press conference,” Justice Mian Gul Hasan remarked, on which, Babar Awan said, “We will not hold a press conference.”
“Two tweets of Asad Umar should be deleted immediately,” Justice Aurangzeb remarked.
Awan replied he would compliance the order despite the fact that there is nothing wrong with tweets.
He prayed that the court should order Asad Umar to be produced here.
“The cases against Asad Umar are before me and If I order, I don’t know what will happen tomorrow,” IHC Justice Aurangzeb remarked.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, vice-chairman of PTI Shah Mehmood Qureshi was re-arrested soon after his release from the Adiala Jail.
So far, many PTI leaders have left the PTI for holding the party responsible for May 9 arsons. Dr Shireen Mazari, Amir Mahmood Kiani, Iftikhar Gillani, Fayyaz ul Hassan Chohan and many others have left the PTI.
