Islamabad, June 20, 2025: Lucky Cement has clarified an incident at its Samawah plant in Iraq, reporting only minimal damage from an “unidentified flying object.”

Despite social media rumors, the company confirmed that its plant remains fully operational today. The incident, involving a collision with a pre-heater, caused only negligible damage to some electrical wiring.

This clarification comes shortly after Lucky Cement‘s joint venture, Najmat Al-Samawah (NAS), successfully launched its new 1.82 MTPA clinker line in May 2025.

This Lucky Cement Iraq incident has significantly boosted its regional production capacity. The company continues to operate at full swing, reinforcing its commitment to its international operations.
