Militants blow up Two girl’s schools in North Waziristan on Sunday night
WAZIRISTAN/ISLAMABAD: Militants have blown up two girls’ schools in North Waziristan late Sunday night.
According to initial reports, the Government Girls’ Middle Schools located in Moski Village and Hasokhel Village were blown up with explosive materials.
The horrifying blasts occurred late Sunday night. The blasts caused extensive damage to the school buildings in North Waziristan.
The police, however, could not identify the militants, so far, involved in the attacks on girls schools.
A bomb blast bulldozed the building of a girls’ school in North Waziristan.
The incidents show the return of militancy in North Waziristan, where two schools, providing education to girls, have fallen victim to bomb explosions.
After attacks on schools, police responded to the incidents and initiated an investigation.
The physical damage to the school buildings is extensive, nevertheless, no casualties were reported in either incident as the blasts occurred late at night. Thus, the saboteur’s target was to blow up schools giving education to girls.
The bombings have caused outrage and condemnation from local authorities, community leaders, and citizens alike.
The unknown militants have, once again, targeted schools imparting education to girls in North Waziristan. Thus, the agenda of the saboteurs appears loud and clear _ they want to discourage girls’ education in the area.
Many similar incidents have been reported in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in recent years, showing the frustration of the attackers about girls’ education.
