Murder of Sara

In the United Kingdom, the authorities arrested the family members of Sara Sharif early Friday in the murder of Sara.

Police alleged that her father, stepmother, and uncle had been formally charged with her murder. This arrest occurred shortly after they landed in Britain, just one day prior to the announcement.

Surrey Police disclosed that the charges against them encompassed causing or permitting the death of the 10-year-old girl.

A day earlier, they had been apprehended in the UK upon their arrival. Surrey Police Detective Superintendent Mark Chapman announced this in a televised statement.

He stated, “Three individuals were taken into custody in connection with this investigation at Gatwick Airport.”

A post-mortem examination report on Sara Sharif’s body revealed that she had endured prolonged injuries.

Urfan Sharif, aged 41, his partner Beinash Batool, aged 29, and his brother Faisal Malik, aged 28, are facing murder charges.

It was noted that they had relocated to Pakistan to seek refuge with relatives before Sara’s body was discovered.

The suspects had traveled from Pakistan to Britain via a Gulf hub before being apprehended by authorities.

A day earlier,

Following their arrest in Pakistan after a month-long manhunt, British authorities took custody of Sara Sharif’s father, mother, and uncle.

Sources reported that Urfan Sharif, Sara’s father, Beinash (her stepmother), and Faisal Malik (Urfan’s brother) were flown to Britain from Sialkot International Airport on Wednesday.

The family members were apprehended Tuesday night, a day after a Jhelum court handed Urfan’s five children to the Child Protection Bureau. The children were found living with Urfan’s father.

Sources also indicated that the Jhelum district police chief (DPO) would hold a press conference to announce the arrests.

The trio had fled the UK with the children on August 10, shortly after Sara Sharif’s death from ‘unnatural causes.’

Upon arriving in Urfan’s native town of Jhelum, they went into hiding to evade arrest and possible extradition to the UK.

The trio was arrested overnight in Sialkot and is currently under interrogation at an undisclosed location.
