Veteran actor Satish Shah, one of Indian television and cinema’s most beloved comedic talents, passed away on Saturday at the age of 74. According to Cine and TV Artistes Association official Ashoke Pandit, the veteran actor succumbed to kidney failure at Mumbai’s Hinduja Hospital.
Pandit shared the heartbreaking news on social media, writing,
“It is with deep sorrow that I inform you that our dear friend and a remarkable actor, Satish Shah, passed away a few hours ago due to kidney failure. He was rushed to Hinduja Hospital, where he breathed his last. A tremendous loss to the industry. Om Shanti.”
