Islamabad, Mar 3, 2025: In a major step towards youth empowerment and entrepreneurship, the Prime Minister’s Youth Program has disbursed an impressive Rs. 209 billion to 31,700 young business owners under the Prime Minister Youth Business and Agriculture Loan Scheme over the past eight months.
This initiative is designed to equip young individuals with essential financial support to start and expand their businesses, paving the way for employment generation and economic progress.
As per official data, the program offers three tiers of loan facilities to aspiring entrepreneurs. Under Tier 1, interest-free loans of up to Rs. 500,000 are provided.
Tier 2 extends loans ranging from Rs. 500,000 to Rs. 1.5 million at a 5% interest rate, while Tier 3 offers loans between Rs. 1.5 million and Rs. 7.5 million at a 7% interest rate.
To ensure easy access, the loan scheme is being implemented through 15 different banks, and young entrepreneurs can conveniently apply via a streamlined online application process.
This significant milestone highlights the government’s commitment to fostering a dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem, empowering youth to contribute to national economic growth and strengthening Pakistan’s business landscape.
