Speeding Vehicle Causes Fatal Collision on Newly Constructed Bridge

A woman was killed and 12 others were injured in a road accident on the newly constructed Shahrah-e-Bhutto bridge, which connects Korangi with Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport.

According to rescue officials, the accident occurred when a speeding vehicle crashed into a Suzuki pickup from behind. The impact caused severe injuries to passengers in the pickup.

The injured included five women and two children, with three of the victims reported to be in critical condition. All injured persons were shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

The driver of the vehicle responsible for the collision fled the scene following the accident. Rescue teams and authorities reached the spot and initiated further proceedings. No official statement has been issued yet regarding the arrest of the suspect or the cause of the accident.
